                          First Half

It must be remembered that in their last game, West Ham defeated Leicester 3-0 so they were looking to carry that confidence into tonight's game while Spurs too on their last outing defeated Manchester united 6-1 so both the teams were high on confidence.  Things were all set up for this to be a cracking game.

Spurs drew first blood in the first minute of the game itself.  Harry Kane's long pass cut through the West Ham defense and landed straight into the path of the Korean Son who managed to curl the ball into the far corner.  West Ham tried to get back into the game but in the 8th minute, a brilliant piece of work from Harry  Kane led to Tottenham's second goal for the night.  He nutmegged his marker before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.  Spurs were now  2 goals up in 8 minutes.

What a start to this game.  Wow!.  Spurs were in the mood tonight and West Ham were having problems dealing with them.  In the 16th minute, Harry Kane got his second for the night and Spurs third.  Sergio Reguillon put in a perfect cross into the box which was met by Kane who headed it home.  The first half was completely dominated by Spurs.  What an enjoyable first half it was.  Pure entertainment.

Second Half

The first half went well for Spurs.  Now it was all about how they deal with West ham for the next 45 minutes.  Yes, they were  3-0 up but still, West Ham have shown that they have quality in their side with the way they played against Leicester in their previous game.

In the 68th minute, Steven Bergwijn was substituted for Gareth Bale who made his first appearance since returning from Real Madrid.  In the 79th minute, Kane would have completed his Hattrick had the ball not hit the post.  In the 82nd minute, West ham pulled  one back through Fabian Balbuena's header.  It seemed highly unlikely that West Ham would get anything from this game with so little time remaining but in the 85th minute, West Ham scored a second goal.

Vladimir Coufal crossed the ball into the box but Davidson Sanchez who was looking to clear, headed it into the goal instead. The score was now Spurs 3-2 West Ham.  It could be the game of the season so far in the PL if West Ham managed to score 1 more.

                        Extra time

In the last minute of stoppage time which was of  4 minutes, West Ham had a corner.  Spurs cleared it but the ball went back to Manuel Lanzini who unleashed a shot that went straight into the net.  West Ham leveled the scored, Wow! just WOW! what an end to the game which finished-  3-3.

                         RESULT

The game ended with the scoreline Spurs 3-3 West Ham.

                       Conclusion

Jose Mourinho would have been very disappointed by his side.  They had only themselves to blame.  They had the game by the scruff of the neck in the first half itself but somehow shipped 3 goals in the final moments of the game.  David Moyes on the other hand, would have been very pleased that his side never gave up after scoring the first goal.  He was overjoyed after the final whistle and rightfully so after defeating a top side.  Hopefully, this will turn their season around by acting as a catalyst.
